New portal project on the basis of MS SharePoint

KCK Company has started implementation of portal project for SUO "Mosoblgaz" on the basis of MS SharePoint 2007.
The first part of the project includes customization of MS SharePoint 2007standard functional. Such approach will allow start using the portal solution in the shortest possible term. Solution of the first stage includes the following functional:
•News and the Bulletin board
•Address book with standard resources MOSS 2007
•Tasks
•Knowledge base on the basis of documents library
•System of orders collection
The second part of the project consists in customization and debugging for work in portal RMS, Groove and InfoPath systems.
•Rights Management Services (RMS) – the service of handling access rights to data, helping to prevent unapproved call to electronic information (files) on-line and in local mode, in inside corporate network behind its frames.
•Office Groove is a program for teamwork which allows users communicate and effectively co-operate when solving different tasks, starting from collective preparation of simple documents and ending with actions coordination of difficult business processes participants.
•InfoPath Forms Services is technology for creation, distribution and usage of electronic forms.

The third part of the project will provide creation of a hierarchical address book. From KCK Company experience standard functionality of MS SharePoint address book needs considerable reprocessing. Therefore during this stage realization a high-grade company employees address directory will be developed.
Mosoblgaz experts put infrastructural tasks (stages 1-3) and require solution of crucial problems. During the project business process «Documents acceptance for specifications» will be expanded. At present processing of applications on connections occurs at personal presence of the applicant. Such order requires all operations on documents checking and their input in the system should be carries out by Mosoblgaz expert and each operation takes about 20 minutes. As a result, reception queue (the procedure is already automated) is expanded to two weeks and more. Possibility to feed all package of necessary documents (according to the set form) through the portal will be realized as the problem solution.
As a result of implementing the functionality of independent documents input in the system the following results are expected:
1. Holding time on reception is approximately 4 times reduced that means capacity increase accordingly in 4 times.
2. Situations of assignable documents shortage are eliminated since successful input procedure through the portal is possible only when all data set is provided.
3. Upon termination of documents input, the Applicant gets an appointment. Herewith the applicant has the possibility to select the time of appointment.
4. Realized is the possibility for the applicant to trace the status of document passing after its transfer to internal Mosoblgaz systems, which will allow reduce time losses both for applicants, and Mosoblgaz employees.
Data input via the portal will be integrated with internal systems of documents processing on the basis of Lotus Domino
